Its taste is described as both sour and sweet and not unlike that of apricots, dates or lemons. This vibrant ingredient is commonly found in spicy dishes and Indian curries. It is commonly paired with coconut milk to give it a softer taste. You'll also find it with turmeric, coriander and ginger.
