Butter beans can be eaten in two different ways, in their immature stage when they are fresh and green or in their mature stage when they are dried and beige. They can be pan fried and enjoyed on their own with salt and some sauce or cooked into soups such as chicken noodle. They are versatile and go well with just about anything.
