Citron jam is known as Balang jam and has been a traditional staple in Middle Eastern breakfast for many years. It is made with Meyer lemons which are a sweet hybrid and have a deep yellow skin and dark yellow pulp. This jam has a distinct sweet jasmine scent and is delicious with toast, bread, crumpets and plain croissants.
