Saffron is a delicate, savoury and richly coloured spice picked from the sparse threads of the saffron crocus.
Type: This is all red saffron, also known as ‘sargol’, which translates from Farsi as ‘top of the flower’. It is a high-grade saffron with a powerful aroma, and contains only the red stigmas with the highest content of flavour and colour, not yellow or orange threads.
