Crafted from natural terracotta, this traditional pan offers excellent heat retention and even heat distribution, allowing food to cook gently while maintaining warmth when served. The material is ideal for slow cooking and enhances flavours by retaining moisture throughout the cooking process.

Designed for flexibility, the pan is suitable for use on gas and electric hobs, in ovens, on BBQs, and even over open flames. It can withstand temperatures up to approximately 250°C, making it a reliable option for a wide range of cooking methods.

With a typical size of 20cm, the pan measures approximately 27cm x 20cm x 6cm and has a capacity of around 1.1 litres, offering a practical size for individual meals or small sharing dishes. Its shallow form makes it suitable for both cooking and direct serving at the table, reducing the need for additional dishware.

The terracotta surface is virtually non-stick when properly used and becomes more effective over time as it naturally “cures” with repeated use. Before first use, it is recommended to soak the pan in warm water for around 10 minutes to prepare the material and improve performance.
