The Rioja Wine Chest Gift Set is an elegant keepsake wooden chest gift box containing six premium bottles of Rioja. These wines are produced by a family winery with over 125 years of winemaking traditions. Now in their 5th generation, the same consistent traditions are expressed in the wines tasted today, with modern technology providing more freshness to help improve complexity and texture through ageing. These hand selected wines are the work of award winning winemaker Rodrigo Espinosa.

Don Fabian

This elegant wine shows medium garnet colour with a tawny rim that extends into mature aromas of dried red berries, vanilla, coconut, dried fig, tobacco, and exotic spice. The palate provides medium to full bodied with refined structure and supple tannins that blend perfectly into a finish of dried cherry, plum, with earthy notes and cocoa with red fruit and delicate spice.

Romancero

Dark cherry in colour with touches of mahogany. The elegant aromas are enhanced by beautiful soft tannins which are rounded into a finish of complex dark fruit, tobacco and spice. The long and persistent fruit finish conveys a touch of elegance.

Duque de Cantos

This Rioja Gran Reserva, deep ruby with a garnet tinge, offers a captivating nose of bright red fruits, vanilla, cedar, leather and balsamic notes. Full bodied and beautifully structured, it delivers concentrated red and black fruit flavours with savoury notes, balanced acidity, and a long, elegant finish, showcasing excellent balance and ageing potential.

Senorio de Prayla

This deep ruby Rioja Gran Reserva from Arnedo offers a rich nose of stewed dark fruits, vanilla, and toasted coconut, complemented by notes of leather and tobacco. Full bodied and smooth on the palate, it delivers concentrated flavours of dark cherry and fig, with a warm, spicy finish, showcasing a powerful yet elegant profile balanced by classic ageing complexity.

Faustino Rivero Ulecia

Dark cherry red colour, this Gran Reserva shows elegance and complexity that develops into prominent deep fruit aromas with a roasted and spicy structure. The evident tannins blend well to give a long and well rounded finish.

Bodegas Rasillo

Garnet in colour, this Gran Reserva has spent much of its time in oak barrels to bring aromas of ripe red fruit that combine with liquorice, vanilla, and smoky hues. On the finish the extended oak ageing allows hints of leather and tobacco to become more evident in its long lingering finish.
